Fabulous Festive Makes!

To coincide with the launch of this year's special issue bookazine, we have a little giveaway for you!

Fabulous Festive Makes is ......well it is rather fabulous for starters and features over 25 festive projects for you to make, including some quick makes for those of you who don't have much spare time on their hands and lots of lovely decorations.
The bookazine will launch at the Festival of Quilts next week so pop along to our booth, E32 to pick up your copy and get those festive preparations started early this year!

Both Judi and I have made projects for the magazine and here is a sneak peak of mine.......Christmas Bunting with a difference!

The fabrics for my project were kindly donated by Makower UK Ltd Ltd and they were generous enough to give me a little bit extra so I could give some away to one of our lucky readers!

So we have a bundle of six long quarters just waiting for a new home.

For your chance to win, just comment on this post telling us what is your favourite festive thing to make, be it cards, decorations or even baking. We'll pick a comment at random. Closing date is 6pm Monday 5 August (BST)

  1. My favourite things for Christmas time are the decorations and I really enjoy the little secrets and beeing with the family.

  2. I always try to make at least one new decoration for the tree - it always brings back happy memories when I bring them out each year to 'dress' the tree. I have some that I made with my sons when they were young (they are now in their mid-thirties!)

  5. It has to be making and decorating the little bags and boxes to wrap Christmas gifts in :] ...I can spend hours longer than it even took me to make or choose the gifts inside them!! it's just one of those great things about Christmas!

  7. Cookies. Hands down favorite. But... I also love to make gifts - small bags to hold goodies, table runners and scarves.

  10. I love making presents and cards for Christmas, baking the Christmas cake and generally being with my family and catching up with old friends. I love wandering around shops and soaking up the atmosphere whilst seeing what is 'new' this year, and I love the bunting with the fairy lights you have made for Christmas, I must give it a go :)

  11. I love sewing Christmas goodies,
I make for friends so dear,
It has become quite a tradition
‘cos I make them every year.

Sometimes I make them gift bags,
Or things to go on the tree,
I’ve made lots of different pressies,
    But never make for me!

If I could win the fabric,
I would make myself a quilt,
But then do ones for all my friends,
As I would be filled with guilt.
